Chopping wood is a technique used by many boxers because it builds up strength and explosiveness.

In the meantime, Pacquiao is using different training methods. According to promoter Bob Arum (via CBSSports.com), Pacquiao is focused on  "timing and positioning."

"Knocking someone out doesn't have to do with strength," Arum said. "It has to do with timing and positioning. I really believe Manny is concentrating on that, and therefore will knock him out. I really believe his style will have changed for this fight."
