Folau and Tutaia are sport's latest power couple

Time for Richie and Gemma, Dan and Honor to step aside? Israel Folau and Maria Tutaia look to have joined forces to form sport's newest power couple.

Dual Australian international Israel Folau and New Zealand netball star Maria Tutaia have joined forces to form sport's newest power couple.

The Wallabies full-back and Silver Ferns sharp shooter were spotted together after the Rugby World Cup and again at the Auckland Nines.

They fueled speculation further this week with a flirty exchange on social media.

Tutaia kicked it off by posting a picture of Folau warming up for a Wallabies Test on social media with the caption 'Bae', which stands for, 'Before anything else'.

Tutaia plays for the Northern Mystics in the trans-Tasman netball competition and is based in Auckland.

Folau is finalising preparations for his fourth Super Rugby season with the Sydney-based Waratahs.
