Parramatta Eels have suffered a double injury blow with Frank Pritchard and Peni Terepo facing prolonged spells on the sidelines.

New Zealand international prop Pritchard has been ruled out for 10 weeks with a foot injury, the club confirmed on Tuesday.

Pritchard is not expected until round 18, when the Eels take on Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park.

The situation is worse for Terepo, who faces up to three months out with a pectoral issue. The second-rower has made just two appearances from the bench so far this season.

There is some positive news for Parramatta fans, however, with Kenny Edwards returning from suspension for Saturday's match against Penrith Panthers at ANZ Stadium.

Edwards was banned for seven games and handed a heavy fine after pleading guilty to common assault.
