Phoenix mayor reveals LaMarcus Aldridge billboard

The Suns are rolling out the red carpet for the talented forward's signature.

LaMarcus Aldridge is the hottest free agent on the market, and the Suns are rolling out the red carpet for his signature.

Phoenix mayor Greg Stanton tweeted out his best recruiting pitch Friday: A giant billboard dedicated to the talented forward.

A billboard may be flashy, but it doesn't always work. In 2013, the Lakers advertised posters with the word "Stay" to entice Dwight Howard to resign. The All-Star centre ultimately left the City of Angels and signed with the Rockets.

Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald also took to social media to try and lure Aldridge to the desert.
